We are a part of a plan to change the life of up to 50,000 people by giving them the gift of sight. We are recycling spectacles whilst going for a world record.

This is to celebrate the 100 years of Lions Clubs International and to increase the awareness of the sight giving service work that is done by Lions through the recycling of spectacles.

Lions Clubs within the district of 105W aim to break the world record for the longest chain of spectacles. It is believed that using the well known ‘world record attempt’ branding will draw attention to our organisation, clubs and more importantly our work.

In addition to the world record attempt, we want to use this event as an opportunity to work more closely with Clubs around the District, sharing our skills, our passion and efforts. It is hoped that with several Clubs supporting each other and working together the awareness of LIONS and our work will increase whilst new doors will open and new opportunities will appear.
